The metal sculpture continues my interest in exploring

the qualities of metal in an atypical way. Depicting water

in the medium of metal may seem illogical, but this attempt

at alchemy interests me. The torch work makes the metal

transparent, almost like a needlepoint canvas, and gives it

feminine aspects. My fascination with women's crafts is

apparent in these metal sculptures,

as well as in my book arts.
